Rachel Barenbaum
Zoom Webinar
Rachel Barenbaum discusses her debut novel, A Bend in the Stars, and the themes that it addresses, including Antisemitism, Russia, emigration, love, and science. Set in 1914 Russia, the book tells the story of a Jewish scientist racing Einstein to prove relativity. Universal subjects of family, religion and the desire to survive revolve around the central question: How do we know when is it time to run? Barenbaum discusses when it was time for her characters to run and why those signals are terrifyingly similar today.
This event, which is free and open to the public, is co-sponsored by Congregation B'nai B'rith.
